Seeing Success Together

Supporting Student Success - One Vision Screening at a Time!
Amherst County Public Schools is proud to partner with the Amherst County Lions Club to provide free eye screenings for students in PreK, Kindergarten, 3rd, 7th, and 10th grades.
Each year, members of the Lions Club generously volunteer their time to ensure our students are seeing clearly and ready to learn. These screenings help identify students who may need follow-up care, and the Lions Club continues their support by helping families access eye exams and glasses when needed.
The Amherst County Lions Club, part of District 24I, is dedicated to serving our community and improving eyesight for those in need. Thanks to their efforts - and the community donations that make this possible - every dollar given is returned to Amherst County through service and care. Did you know? Approximately 1 in 7 students are not seeing to the level required for classroom learning. Early detection makes a difference!
Thank you to the Amherst County Lions Club for your ongoing partnership and commitment to our students’ health and success.
